My experience with VU overall was very positive on every end. Shawn and Selina were helpful and made the process pleasant. The issues that were challenging was on the realtor end, and if it wasn't for Shawn and Selina we don't know how we could have made it to closing day.

I would highly recommend Veterans United to family and friends. I’ve actually already recommended Shawn Hall to a few of my friends. This was my first home buying experience and I really didn’t know what to expect. Shawn Hall was phenomenal! He was very attentive, he made sure I understood everything that was going on and set my expectations well. He is very passionate about helping people and that showed thought the whole process. His communication was top tier! My situation was different because we were supposed to close on one house and it fell through due to the seller, however Shawn was extremely positive and guided us through and we closed on the second home. Shawn did make me feel like a number that most lenders would make you feel like. He made me feel like a person that deserved the home that I wanted and made sure to do all that he could to make sure I was taken care of and for that I am truly grateful! Shawn was the highlight of my experience and he is a huge asset to Veterans United! His team was also great to work with also. Sarah was definitely on it! She made sure information was put out accurately and in a timely manner to make sure all parties were on one accord! The team is an All Star team!!

Fantastic company from top to bottom.

My only beef was that the original preapproval stated conventional mortgage. Whenever things changed to fha, it made it difficult. All is good in the end though. Honestly, if I knew in advance it was fha, I would have probably stopped looking at the market altogether and simply concentrated on a rental, so its a blessing in disguise.
