When we first decided to purchase a home, we felt the stress and anxiety that comes with such a major decision. However, our fears were quickly put to rest when we were introduced to our Veteran's United team. Our wonderful loan officer Chace Tuck was there to guide us throughout the entire process. Chace was always available to answer our questions and address any concerns we had. Our amazing realtor Jen Riley worked so diligently in the search for our dream home. She helped us reach our goal and made the journey there both memorable and enjoyable. Jen taught us so much along the way, helping us build up the confidence needed to make such an important decision. As first time home buyers, we were blown away by the level of care and professionalism shown by our Veteran's United team. They truly simplified the homebuying process from start to finish. Veterans United helped me to obtain my dream of homeownership. It was a positive experience, and the lighthouse credit program was very informative. The program and the representative helped me to change my perspective on credit and credit bureaus. I highly recommend Veterans United to others because everyone, from the lighthouse representative, loan officer, and concierge, was knowledgeable, responsive, and professional throughout the process.
Have a few issues:
1. When I first applied with VA United I was informed that my closing costs were part of the loan, once I found a home and went to start the closing it changed, and I was told that closing costs were not allowed to be put into the loan. This was very frustrating since I signed a contract with the other homeowner for no closing cost assistance.
2. During the closing process, I could not believe how many times I found mistakes on the cost sheets. Again, very frustrating since I felt I was lied to once.
