
I was concerned at first that this large company would not have the small buisness feel to it, and that I would just be another number. That turned out to not be the case at all. They stayed in touch with me constantly, and walked me through everything I needed in order to buy my first house. They are very serious about their care for Veterans, and did everything they could to get me into a home I love. Their app is easy to use and follow along. It shows everything that is needed to be done and reminds you as it goes. I highly recommend using them for home buying.

This was my first time buying a house and the team made me comfortable even when the process got overwhelming.

I am very unhappy that my interest rate was not locked in, in the beginning or that locking it in was even discussed. I am now at a higher rate that cost me alot more money and higher payment. I had to keep calling and explaining that the info they requested was uploaded and explain it to them again. I told them I was very busy at work and they would have to contact me in the evening or early morning. I would get a voice mail and have to try and get back with them. I have used Veterans United in the past and had a good experience. I am extremely upset with the delay on locking in the interest rate, but when you are that far into the process, you are kinda stuck! Not to mention that they got the down payment and loan amounts backwards in the first loan estimate and it took a few days to fix it. I feel like everything was poorly executed. Not sure if I will use them in the future nor recommend.

The entire experience with Veterans United wasn't like a loan officer and loan specialist, it felt like friends helping each other. Look, for us veterans being genuine is huge. We can sniff it out when you aren't, and the entire team was rock solid genuine. I never had hesitation about anything. We finally did it! Thanks to Nick and Spencer for being there for us, they made buying in this crazy market a lot less stressful.

Amazing group of people who are very capable and responsive.

As a first time homebuyer in a tight real estate market I cant recommend Veterans United enough. Communication was always quick, clear, and concise. If I had questions they had answers. They took the pain out of a process that is anything but easy and made it a pleasure. The only reason I rated them 10/10 was because 11/10 wasn't an option. If you’re a vet and have this option open to you, do yourself a favor and use VU.
