With it being our first time buying a home it seemed like there was a lot of services provided through veterans united but I did not know how to use them aside from loan officer/coordinator and buyers agent.

We refied at a full point below the original rate. They made refi so simple we hardly had any work to do. It went smoothly and quickly. Can't say enough about the competence and willingness to ensure a great lending experience. All were great!


When my husband started hospice last year, he told me he wanted me to "buy that little house or condo you've been wanting." Now that he's been gone about a year, I got up the energy to take some steps forward. But, where to go? I had heard that the VA doesn't give home loans to surviving spouses. Google said differently. My journey with Veteran's United was low key, no pressure, we are on your time, ask us anything and enjoy the process. My agent and I found a wonderful Condo, the finance process was quick and I closed earlier than I could have dreamed of. Perfect!

Ill put simple I didn't think the customer service was what it used to be after my first time purchase the customer service was almost one way with the VU team needing information from me and questions from them to me but in regards to myself I had a very tough time at times trying to get a hold of someone to the point where I was asking friends and family questions that I needed to ask the lender due to the fact that they did not call back or leave a message giving an attempt to help out I am appreciative for the work put into my home buying journey but I would of liked to have a better interaction with the entire VU Team

I’m really sorry to hear that your second experience with us didn’t match up to the first. It sounds like there were some serious communication gaps this time around, and that’s definitely not the experience we want our borrowers to have. I know how important it is to have a team that’s there for you every step of the way, and I completely understand your frustration with feeling like you couldn’t get the help you needed when you needed it.
You should never feel like you have to turn to friends and family for answers that your lender should be providing. I’m glad we were able to help you get into your new home, but I really wish the process had been smoother for you.
