VU team was great! Answered all questions; truly appreciated team’s patience and knowledge throughout the loan process. Would definitely recommend Veterans United to everyone.
I am genuinely satisfied with the portal and interest rate I received; I thank Kaleb for that. In general, Kaleb seemed to be a nice person, but he was not readily available nor transparent. There were several things that occurred during the process that I was not aware of. He did not listen to me regarding my debts and required me to pay more than I owed to creditors. He stated, "They will return anything overpaid". I did not think it was fair, but I was at his mercy. I would have ended the process but did not want to lose money already paid. My agent and I were baffled at the fact that I had to pay debts that were not in my name as well. It was a horrible, sorrowful experience for me and even though I have the home; I am still displeased and haunted by the sneakiness and deception that existed. No one contacted me the day of closing. I contacted them at 11 AM and discovered I needed to go to my bank to get info showing my retirement was deposited in my account. I could have been informed sooner if they cared to initiate contact. My closing amount was one amount on Friday and increased on Monday, which was the day of closing. Unfortunately, they had added a debt from Macy's without notifying me. It would have been fair if they had itemized the debts and informed me of what they were requiring me to pay at closing. I was clueless. My closing was scheduled at 12:30 PM, but closing started at 3:30 PM. The rating would have been lower, but I think Kaleb would have been better if a different person had assisted him. I do believe he worked hard to help me get the loan, but I also feel he kept me out of the loop and did not take time to check balances owed to creditors. Unfortunately, the process was dreadful and belittling. I was literally treated like a child with no relevance. I felt wronged, disrespected and ignored. I hope they will be more considerate and open with future borrowers. Amongst all, Halie Brooks kept information I shared with her from Kaleb because she has little concern and is deceptive. She told me a certain document was required in reference to the gift but pretended not to remember telling me. She was also notorious for over talking and not listening. Despite how much I detested the way the process played out, it is nice to be a homeowner again. Thank you to the VU team for the hard work and dedication. I am scarred but resilient. It would have been so great to rate the process as epic, but I had to share my true experience.
3rd house down with Kaleb and Joe directly. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
AWESOME!!!
He was amazing, super-fast, professional and helpful. He called me back on his days off to answer my questions and go over my needs. He was able to help me close on a record time. I am very grateful that I was able to buy a second house with him. I will recommend him as a loan officer to every family and friend because he is the best doing this!
Seemed like about the point i was getting frustrated Kaleb would call and answer my questions. After days no non response to questions.
Great job Kaleb and everyone! Thank you so very much!
