This was my first time buying a new home. There was a lack of communication between me and the loan officer. One hour before closing I was still trying to understand the final disclosure document and why he could not explain a 1419.00 fee. Jeremy, failed to contact me when the interest rates were going up. I ended up paying a much higher interest rate than I could have? If he would have guided me in the right direction. I feel like veterans united robbed me of what should ha e been one of the most important exciting days of my life.

Response from Veterans United

Hey Kristina,

Im really sorry to hear about your experience, especially since this shouldve been an exciting time for you. Its tough when theres a breakdown in communication during such a big moment, and I understand how frustrating it must have been to feel left in the dark, especially with that fee and the changes in interest rates.

My team would like to dig into what happened here and make sure your concerns are addressed. If youre open to it, please reach out to us directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so we can go over your situation in more detail. We want to learn from this and do everything we can to improve.

Jeremy was so helpful! Jeremy explained the whole process to me. He left little room for questions but for the ones I did have he answered them all and he was patient when I asked the same question over and over!
Jeremy was kind on the phone and made it feel personable even without formally meeting him. The little mentions of his family were helpful in feeling like he was relatable. If I’m spending a huge amount of money I’d like to feel like there is a real human on the other side of the phone guiding me and he did that! His tone of voice and kindness showed that he enjoyed his job. Tone of voice and care is so important when life decisions are being made and he handled everything so well! He may do this 24/7 but we don’t and he never seemed to forget that. I appreciate Jeremy so much! He made this so easy that I’m looking forward to buying a house again one day.
