Melissa was amazing! She had plenty of patience with us. I went through a health scare during this process over the past 9 months and she was very empathetic and understanding. She also took most of the weight off of me, so I wasn’t too overwhelmed. Karie was also a great support to her through the underwriting process at the end. I had a great overall experience with Veterans United and have recommended them to my adult children as well!The only thing I would change about Veteran’s United is that if you send a homeowner a gift that is specific to their race of being Hispanic, you should ask which “culture” they are. We all eat different foods. and speak different dialects of Spanish as well. We received tacos as our gift, which we appreciate but we are not Mexican. I am Puerto Rican, Black & Italian. My husband is black and white. So we really don’t eat tacos, honestly. So you’re screening process should be a little more thorough. None of this had to do with Melissa or Karie, they were great! I think it’s because you’re screening process says Hispanic on the application, and it was based on an assumption that we all eat the same things when we don’t. Just “food for thought”.Thank you and we appreciate you giving us this opportunity!
The team that helped me through the home buying process was amazing! I was beginning to think that I was never going to find a home that fit me and that it was not going to become a reality of owning my own home, however, through everything the team that I got connected with was there for me the whole time every single step of the way encouraging me and reassuring me that this was going to happen and it did!!
