Based on reading primarily positive reviews, my experience was not the standard Veterans United experience. My refinance eventually was closed, however, communication and transparency was certainly below my expectations. My experience involved multiple closing date delays, lack of clear communication and unexpected rate term changes. To Veterans United credit, promised terms were restored and honored, however, had I not recognized the changes had occurred I would have paid thousands more out of my pocket.

I have used Veterans twice and both times it went very smooth. Zach Debord was very helpful.
Underwriting team needs improvement. Loan was submitted to underwriting. Took two to three weeks and then the To Do’s started. To Do’s for a straight forward loan lasted about a month. Even up to closing. That made for an unnerving experience.
