There are many "veteran service" organizations that advertise for and claim understanding of the veteran's needs and wants. Many are simply civilian run organizations that traffic in Veteran programs and use standard processes/underwriting in conducting business. No different from any mortgage company. Veterans United was different. My process was handled well and with the type of knowledge and understanding befitting those of us who have served, and were harmed, while in uniform.
