Ben Choi was raised in St. Louis, the heart of the Midwest, but was born in New York, NY. His parents are both from Seoul, South Korea, yet instilled in him a strong sense of patriotism to the US, an even greater respect for the US military, and appreciation for all they have done for their country. It is because of them his family was afforded the opportunity to move to this country, and for him to grow up a proud American.
Ben graduated with a degree in Finance and Banking, and also cultivated a love for Missouri Tiger football and basketball. He is also an avid 'foodie', and loves trying restaurants highlighted on the Food Network and Travel Channel.

Ben and his team were outstanding. This is the third time he has helped us purchase a home, and once again he was professional, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire process. He made everything smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Ben and Veterans United for your home purchase!!
I will recommend this team to EVERYONE! The process was scary but they made it very easy and stress free!
The entire staff that assisted me throughout process of buying my new home were simply outstanding. Cannot say enough about them!
My loan officer Ben Choi did not communicate well. Went on vacation/leave and put someone in his place that wasn’t licensed, and could not answer questions. Mason Radcliffe was terrible as well. All over the place. Had to beg to receive phone calls from both. Didn’t give me the correct cash to close until signing day, and even then it was still wrong. They ruined my first home buying experience.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Lindsey,
I’m really sorry to hear how this experience impacted your first homebuying journey. This should be an exciting milestone, and it’s frustrating to hear that communication issues, lack of availability, and unclear information made it so difficult.
Not being able to get timely responses, especially when you have important questions, can feel incredibly discouraging. On top of that, receiving inconsistent or incorrect details about your cash to close adds another layer of stress that shouldn’t happen. You deserved clearer guidance and more reliable communication throughout the process.
I’d really like the opportunity to look into what happened here and better understand where things broke down. If you’re open to it, please reach out so I can help and make sure your concerns are fully reviewed.
You can contact me or my team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We're available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, and we typically respond the next business day if you reach out after hours.

Caitlyn was also wonderful. I had back surgery right when we started the process. She and (VU) sent flowers and we'll wishes. That personal touch was very good. You usually don't get that from big companies. She also was very responsive and helpful during the whole process. She answered all questions and if she didn't know the questions she found out for us.
Ben and his crew have been with me all the way since my first mortgage and are honest, sincere and timely!
