Chris Lippmann,Took the time to explain the process for me and my family to buy a home. He always kept me updated through the home buying process always checking up on me. The home buying process through Veterans United was very smooth. All the step by step video tutorials provided by Veterans United kept me informed and allowed me to fully understand everything. Thank you Chris. I appreciate you and all the staff who helped me make this happen.

My 1st experience with Chris and VU 2 years ago was phenomenal! I was hoping and expecting the same experience this time around, But the entire experience derailed spectacularly when Chris did not make sure the Loan Estimates included required debts to be paid as a condition of the new loan amount I was seeking, especially when it appeared that selling my other property may take longer than I anticipated. The new loan amount was now higher because I would most likely be bringing less down payment than I originally thought when I began the pre-approval process. He knew this back after Labor Day. Not a word was mentioned to me that I MUST pay off ALL debts or I would not get out of underwriting and would not be cleared to close on 10/30/2024. It wasn't until 10/8/2024 when I emailed Nick Whitworth to ask what I needed to do to get out of underwriting and cleared to close that I was informed that I needed to come to closing with an ADDITIONAL $77,000 + in order to close on time. Are you kidding me?! Less than 30 days to find that kind of cash?!This was wrong! And no Active Duty or Veteran military member should EVER have to experience the insane amount of stress that was thrust upon my shoulders when trying to buy a home! If I had been told that I needed to pay off debts in order to get approved for the new loan amount back in September when I mentioned it to Chris, I could have slashed the asking price for my other property I was trying to sell dramatically, and/or took out a Swing loan to pay off the debts while I waited for an accepted offer on said property. Instead of a proactive approach - this ended up being very reactive, and not ideal for me as I ended up selling my property way, way below market value and ended up paying $3000 to rent the house I wanted to buy because I closed on my farmstead on time and was now going to be homeless.

I stated before but with how everything was handled and how quick and easy and transparent all of the steps were, I would give my team so much higher than 10 if possible!
