Outstanding. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, patient (we're 1st time homebuyers) and went to great lengths to explain all procedures every step of the way.Ditto for Monika Cooper (Lead Loan Coordinator).

We had the most awful and worst experience working with Zane.Zane was available from when we reached out to see how and what kind of loan we would qualify for until the house we wanted accepted our offer. The morning after the offer was accepted, Adam talked to him on the phone. He explained how there were only a couple things left to do, that most of the things Adam would be completing that day. That proved to not be the case.We were quickly prompted to start completing documents on our VA account and on our To Do list. Our contact became Rachel. She was available through text, not over the phone. We were signing big documents we were not aware about. Like an additional $3,500 to bring the interest rate down .06%. The interest rate we received was 5.99% while other VA loan mortgage brokers were offering 5.6%.Rachel encouraged us to sign the documents quickly. Adam and I called Zane almost everyday, to find out what these documents were exactly and what were we signing! He was conveniently unavailable. We would leave voicemails, Adam would send texts. The texts were occasionally responded to by Zane or Rachel. But no call backs. Don’t you think it would be responsible and mature to make a phone call, not a text, to a client who is purchasing a loan from you for over this amount? At no point did Zane reach out and offer to walk us through the paperwork. That was when it became clear to us he was looking for a sale, not a relationship.Once he received confirmation from Adam that our offer was accepted, he remained in the shadows. Zane had gotten his sale, and was waiting for his commission. He only had to get us through the next 30 days without any issues and he’d walk away with a check. He made sure to not answer any phone calls or call us back after numerous voicemails were left. He completely took advantage of the fact Adam was out of country with limited cell service and availability to make phone calls. I can’t help but wonder if this happens to most service men and women looking for a VA loan?My realtor wanted to make sure everything with our roof repair would be ok to go through on the VA end. After she called numerous times and left voicemails, Zane finally called her back! He called her three times in a row, very aggressively. He then proceeded to question her honesty. He asked things like “is this going to go through? Is there something fishy going on? Is Adam REALLY in Haiti?”This was a great example of POOR customer service! It was some of the worst customer service we have ever received for one of the biggest purchases we’ve ever made! He kept us in the dark. He did not want us to know we were paying well over what we could pay for on other VA loans. The remainder of our experience goes as follows.Thursday December 5th, 48 hours before closingo Called Zane at 1:55pm, he picked up. Explained to him about how we never knew about the high amount of closing costs. He let me know they were in the documents we signed. I said ok, but you never went over them with us. I explained how he knew Adam was a first time home buyer, wouldn’t he want to walk him through this process step by step? I would think any responsible and good mortgage broker would want to do this for their client? He proceeded to go over what those costs were. It was interesting how he waited to explain these 48 hours before closing, KNOWING it was too late for us to back out.o I explained how we were ok with the ~ $70K down payment (instead of $80K). but wanted to get confirmation with Adam who has limited cell service in his country. We had originally wanted $80K down but with closing costs being closer to $15K we only could afford $70K down. Zane kept reminding me that would only take off $50-$60 dollars off mortgage each month.o We needed the closing disclosure to be finished on his end so that the title company could give me the final number to wire the down payment. I wanted to initiate that wire Friday morning so that I was sure it would go through by Monday. I confirmed with Adam then called Zane back.o I called Zane again at 2:53pm to let him know we were ok with the price and to finish the closing disclosure. He did not answer so I left a VM.• Friday December 6th 24 hours before closingo I called Zane at 7:09AM mountain standard time and left VMo Called Zane again at 9:31 am, did not leave VM, no answero Called Zane at 10:22am and he finally answered. I got confirmation that the disclosure was finished and was being sent to the title. I explained how important this is to get over so I can get a total wire amount and initial that before EOD Friday. He proceeded to explain to me “how” to send and initiate a wire. I told him I knew how, I send wires internationally for work. I told him I wanted 24 hours just to make sure this goes through and there is no delay. He said he would send the closing disclosure over by the afternoon. Zane has a very impressive way of deflecting each conversation and blaming the issues on someone else.o I received confirmation from my title company what the wire total was and headed to my bank at 4pm. I initiated the wire but it would not get processed until Monday because I had missed the wire cut off• Monday December 9th DAY OF CLOSINGo I arrived at my meeting to sign at 9am. As we went through the documents, the documents from VA home loan had my name spelling correctly once, and incorrectly once, on each page. Under the signature line for Adam (where I was signing for him as power of attorney) my name was spelled wrong. But RIGHT below that, under the line where I sign, my name was spelled right. The notary told me to cross it out, correct It and leave my initials. I did this for each one.o The notary called me two hours after leaving the signing to tell me I had to resign those documents, that they were correcting the misspelling and had to resign. We met at a Starbucks at 1:45pm and completed these. The title officer Amy was kind enough to come and pick up the documents from the notary who had to run to another appointment. She took them back to her office so they could be filed before 4PM.I would believe there are many service men and women who remain in the dark during this process and are pushed through it very quickly. Zane can keep them in the dark because of them being deployed or not understanding home purchasing completely. Yes, it was Adam’s first home purchase but Zane has no idea if we plan on purchasing more properties in the future. If we had had a great experience, we would definitely have used him again. After this horrible experience with poor communication, we will never be using Zane or the VA again. We will make sure everyone we know in the military and government knows this!

Zane was so amazing. When I say he did not give up on me and guided me through every step of the way . I couldn’t no be more pleased with this and if I had to do it all over again I would chose the same exact team. I can’t forget Jake, I was very fortunate enough to have the both of them. I really can’t thank them two gentlemen enough. Jake was sooooo sooo patient with me and he answered all of my questions without hesitation. He was so confident for me which is what I needed. I love these guys.

I have had the privilege to work with Zane over the past few years and his attention to detail and knowledge is above reproach. Zane is definitely an asset to this organization, so I thank you for guiding me through this process.
