This being our first home ever (yes, at our age...), we did not know what to do or expect. We were guided by you all every step of the way. Our concierge (Casie) got us connected and on track for this process. She also hooked us up with our realtor. Tyler (our loan officer) got involved immediately and worked on our preapproval. Every step was detailed and explained in ways we could understand. The patience, understanding, and commitment was/is so amazing. Cara kept us on track for the underwriter and Jimmy kept the ball rolling in the same efficient manner when Cara was not available. Alicia got our Homeowners insurance in line and patiently kept making necessary changes as we needed them. We successfully closed on July 25th, 2022!Tyler (our loan officer) has gone out of his way to make our dream come true. He helped us overcome obstacles which could have destroyed our dream from becoming a reality. We will never forget him or his team!We tell you all this so you can get an idea from the buyers/our perspective. You all never lost sight of why you are doing this.I am a Vietnam Veteran who has had a difficult trip through life. I never would have dreamed this possible. More importantly, my wife gets the one thing in this life that she has always dreamed of. Thank you for what you have done for us! Remember that you all hold the ability to fulfill a void in a veteran and his family's life. It makes a HUGE difference and again we will be forever grateful to you all. Thank you!!!
Brian Poterbin, Kate Keating, and the entire VUHL team were exceptional throughout the entire home loan process. Every team member provided prompt, professional, and outstanding customer service from start to finish. Veterans United made things easy and with open communication. Jon and Kyle were always there to answer any and all of our questions. This is our second home with Veterans United, and I can not imagine any other way of buying a home and will recommend anyone to use Veterans United.
We had an extremely stressful, disorganized, and untimely experience with Veterans United. My client said they would never use them again after our experience. We had an 11 day delay on closing because of items that should have come up previously but waited to be brought up until the week before closing. Terrible communication and response.

Delays so close to closing, especially when concerns feel like they should have been addressed much earlier in the process, can create a lot of unnecessary stress and uncertainty. I can understand why the lack of communication and responsiveness left such a negative impression.
We know how important it is to keep everyone informed throughout the homebuying process, including agents and borrowers, and I’m sorry that didn’t happen here. An 11-day closing delay is significant, and it’s understandable that your client walked away feeling disappointed after the experience.
