If you decide to get a VA home loan with Veterans United, which you should. Make sure you ask for Aaron Guinn to be your loan officer. He is by far the best in the business. As a first-time home buyer, it can be daunting. Aaron was there every step of the way. No matter the question or time of day he was always available. He was more involved than my actual realtor. Not only that, but in 17 days was able to get closed on our house! I would never buy a house again without finding Aaron and making sure he was behind the wheel making it all happen again. The team in a whole did an outstanding job and went the extra mile to ensure me and my family had the help we needed in our last minute pcs decision to purchase a home. I love the dashboard, which makes the process very user friendly and error proof! Additionally, you feel appreciated as a customer and not just another number/loan to process. Overall, I had a great experience with my home loan team. They were responsive, professional, and helped guide me through the process smoothly. I always felt like they were available to answer questions and keep things moving forward.
The only issue I ran into was that it wasn’t clearly communicated until the day before closing that my significant other couldn’t be on the deed due to the loan requirements. That caused some last minute stress that could have been avoided with earlier with proper communication.
Aside from that, everything else was handled really well, and I appreciate the team’s support throughout the process.
