Everyone has been great during my first home buying process. They helped relieve my anxiety and made my life easier during the home buying process. Before contacting VU, I had been reading forum posts of how to get a mortgage and then learning about VU helping veterans get homes. Some people had negative experiences but mine has been overwhelmingly positive. I recommend at least talking to someone at VU if you're hesitant.
