They can spoon feed you the information like they had to do with me, I was blissfully unaware of just how much went into purchasing a home, Yet they did it with a smile and were very kind along the way.

I was a bit disappointed with VU's lack of communication, last minute requests, and the fact that they couldn't make an exception for time in service Knowing I was 3 months away from the six year requirement, I was unaware and was told 8 days before closing, causing us to default on closing and losing out on 5k as well as agreements made with the seller. Though no real reimbursement was provided for the technicality, but the appraisal was waived on another offer. Though it was learning experience and the outcome was a bit off from what we envisioned, I do believe things would be better the next time around and would consider giving VU another chance in the future.

I would highly recommend Veterans United to anyone buying a home. I work with the public and have for 40+ years and these guys made our home buying experience as easy as eating cake.

Overall a way below average experience due to the following.1) This was my second time using VU. First was awesome. I was warned that using the main office vice a local one was gonna be painful and it was.
2) Underwriting . It seemed like it went through 10 different people. Each time it was evident they didn't look at my file or previously posted to dos as several times the info was there already.
3) Excessive amount of info to submit. Feel free to pull my to do list. I felt like I was a criminal trying to convince the judge.When I do a stream line in the future someone will have to convince me to use VU. Most likley I won't.

Everything always goes smooth with this team. I really appreciate them for the first signing and the refinancing! Thank you

A lot of work but the process was worth it

Everything went well. The only thing I would try to do going forward is getting the realtors / buyers on a call when it comes to repairs. I think explaining unskilled vs skilled repairs would be helpful to understand what and why item need repair. Then the realtors would become more and more comfortable using a VA loan for the future.
