I am just a veteran, who is formerly one of those homeless guys you see on the street. Unwashed, dependent on others to eat and receive the necessary basics of life. I never thought I would be able to go home but you made that possible. Now instead of needing a number for a hotline to continue to live, I can live in a house that will be my own. There will be new responsibilities and new capabilities and the freedom to call my own shots. The road to get to this destination was long, longer than I even imagined, but now the job is done and I am no longer homeless.
You did that for me when I was not capable of doing it myself.
