The Seller was disjointed, poorly organized, and did business in a very fragmented manner generating nothing but confusion all of which became more magnified as the process entered the final phase. In spite of this poor performance my Loan Officer Shane, and Kate, my Loan Underwriter, focused like a laser to the daily challenges presented by the Seller (new construction) as they navigated through this high level of confusion to assemble and finalize the "file" for final review and ultimate approval. They demonstrated tight coordination not only between themselves but collectively with me keeping my level of situational awareness high. Thanks to them I understood what was going on, what had to be done, and finally what was done. When errors or oversight occurred on my part they were patient and pressed on. When disagreements surfaced they remained professional and diligent in explaining the necessity of certain requests. Above all, interacting with just 2 people helped a lot in reducing the "clutter" of dealing with several people at one time as the competition tends to do these days. In this case, the left hand knew what the right hand was doing. USAF Veteran.

Every individual I worked with from veterns united to my real estate agent was phenomenal from start to closing. I have nothing negative to say about any step in the process.
I want to say that when I spoke to my fellow veterans, I received mixed reviews/responses but it seemed that more often than not, people were happy so Veterans United was on my list of lenders to compare. Same with USAA, as I bank with them as well. Not going to lie, before the entire process, I was leaning towards USAA, since I have my insurance and banking through them. I started by reaching out to USAA and was flat out told that I had no credit so they couldnt help me, which was pretty ridiculous since I had received my Cow Loan through them in my junior year while at the academy. I asked and tried to see if there was anything they could do and they said no. I hesitated at first because I knew I had had good credit in the past and didnt understand how I didnt have any credit now and thought I wouldnt be able to get a home. This is when I called Veterans United. While I was told the same thing, I was immediately connected with a credit specialist who explained I just needed a line of credit and informed me the steps I needed to take. Within a week or two, my credit came in (excellent) and I was on my way for preapproval for a home. I can't emphasize how much of a difference being told I had no credit and not being able to do anything about it and being told that I had no credit but provided with such a simple solution is. After I was able to get my credit, I was able to shop around and, while the prices were comparable or the same, none were lower. After comparing and even after my wife and I decided to go with Veterans United, we received numerous calls and inquiries, from USAA and others, asking us to take our business to them concerning purchasing a home but with the service Veterans United had already provided, they proved to us that not only were they professional experts but that they would also go that extra mile to ensure that things were done right and above our expectations. Thank you, team! My wife and I are very grateful for you helping us secure the home to start our family in.
Great experience, just as when we bought the first time 7 years prior. The little gifts were just an added bonus. Quick and thorough communication made this process so easy and stress less. We never felt like a number with VU, every interaction was with an actual person who cares. If we ever buy again, we will definitely use Veterans United.

Working with the whole Veterans United team has been a great experience. We were anxious about the home buying process and everyone from Adam Craig, our loan officer who worked very closely with us and introduced us to the many members of the team. Monica our loan coordinator who provided guidance throughout the entire process communicating constantly keeping us informed of the steps of the loan process and answering our many questions patiently, carefully and clearly. Adam, Monica and Kimberly took the time explaining any questions that we had making sure that we understood and the next steps. Kimberly worked to make not just the loan process go smoothly but the moving experience go smooth as well by foreseeing our needs and assisting with contact information from utilities to cable, insurance, security, even movers.While we have only mentioned these three of the team, we know that many more people have worked to make our experience perfect and we feel that “Thank you “ is an incomplete expression of what we feel for each of them.
