The seller and I signed a contract on Oct 18th and were suppose to close on Dec 19th got hung up on by Andy Miller when I called in late Nov and got no response to anything phone/text or email till I closed (with the help of Austin Clapp) on approx the 10th of Jan. Found out through the title company Mr. Miller, Michelle Zellers and nobody else on his "team" had done ANYTHING to get VA approval (condo ID) and didn't submit the paperwork for it UNTIL DEC 23rd ! after being prompted by the realtors!! I had to give my apartment notice of intent to vacate twice but was lucky they allowed me to stay (only because the people that applied for the apartment I was in didn't meet the qualifications or I would have been homeless) And finally to add insult to injury, the reimbursement that was promised (I had to pay rent beyond my close date) was taken away after a rework of the numbers on the actual close date. !!!

I wouldn’t change my loan team for anything! from working with Carrie freeman until I was passed on to janeanne was the best experience I’ve ever had buying my first home. They went above and beyond for me and make the process extremely smooth and easy, I couldn’t have done it without them and I’m forever honored and grateful. The process was so hustle free and that’s what us veterans are looking for, we are frustrated with the run arounds and lack of VA loan knowledge from these other lenders so working with veterans united is a plus. I rated the real estate agent a 10 primarily because I had the opportunity to meet him in person, which made a positive impression. However, I want to emphasize that all the other agents were also exceptional and provided excellent service.
The whole team is amazing with communication and taking the time to explain everything throughout the process. Really love the custom sign for my dream garage the team got me.
I hope to continue to refinance (in a timely manner) to a lower APR. That said, I am very pleased with my loan team and theor constant professionalism and care.

The Veterans United did an incredible amount of information gathering about what I could afford in a home, they did all the paperwork I needed and the research they wanted I needed to do to make sure progress was being made and on time. Nothing else to say. I have worked with VU a couple of years ago, but this time was wayyyyyy better. Hands Down!
I think that the team did ok overall but missed a few things on the inspection. I now have to pay for things that were not identified doing the inspection. I am upset and disappointed regarding that issue. The biggest cost is the windows that are not good and will cost a lot for me to replace. I'm disappointed.

While the VA appraisal ensures the home meets basic safety standards, it’s not as thorough as a home inspection, which is why we always recommend a professional inspection to help identify potential concerns. That said, I’m really sorry this part of the process left you feeling let down. Buying a home is a huge investment, and I wish we could have helped set better expectations or supported you more during this step.
