Our experience with Tommy Purk was nothing short of fantastic. My fiancé and I cannot fully begin to express our gratitude for his and Thomas Sutton’s services. Overall the experience was great, the appraiser they sent did a terrible apprasial and compared our custom built home to a cookie cutter home in a subdivison nearby. Make sure you fully get on the same page with the appraiser before they send in paperwork because there is no changing it in a realistic time frame and more than likely not changing it... cost and apprasial was over $100k difference and the comparable was nothing to compare to. So very disappointed on that.
Steve Rose at Veterans United was a pleasure to work with. Very straightforward and made the entire process easy for me. Will have my business again when it's time to refinance.
Overall the process to get started was great. However, once the approval process had started, it felt very rushed. I remember asking a few times about the reimbursement methods and getting different answers, or asking if lower the loan amount and take less out. I got the impression that it was too much paperwork so it got shoved along to the next stage.
