If you are a veteran purchasing a home and you are not going through VU, you may want to shop around a little more. The purchase process from start to finish was much smoother than expected, even with dealing with a catastrophic home fire in the middle of the process. Additionally, the entire loan team responded to and helped address our needs where even family fell deficient.
