I wish Kevin Schawo was in charge of the whole loan process instead of having a separate loan coordinator. Too many people were involved and did not quite understand fully my account like, Kevin. Kevin Schawo deserves a field promotion!

Jessica Pratt and her team were amazing throughout the entire home buying process; and I would rate every aspect of my experience working with them a 10/10.Veteran’s United is easily one of the best lenders in the nation, and it’s easy to see why they are ranked number one across the board for Veteran homebuyers.I would recommend any prospective Veteran Homebuyer within my network, or that I come across in the future to Jessica and the team at VU without thinking twice about it. They were that great! Both my Realtor, and Attorney even made comments to me about how great working with Veterans United was. Everyone noticed their professionalism and diligence! If you are a Veteran and thinking about buying home, please do yourself a favor and reach out to Veterans United to learn about your options and to see what you qualify for.

A coworker recommended VU to me, which I hadn’t even heard of before. So glad he mentioned you and the great home buying experience he had. Would totally recommend to friends. The communication was great which made the home buying experience less stressful.

Juliana was truly the best loan officer we have ever worked with. She was completely supportive and knowledgeable in all aspects within her role. We have never felt so comfortable working with a loan officer as we did with Juliana. She gave all the right advice for us! We look forward to working with Juliana in the future. I rated the overall experience a 8. If it was just a rating for Juliana it would have been a 10. The closing experience was not ideal. The notary that closed our loan was completely unprofessional. Also, there were areas where United Veterans could have helped more but choose not to. Which in the end cost us money.

My team made the entire process so easy for us. Everyone was on point and communication was quick and efficient because we were all in a group text. The team answered any and all of my questions and kept up with the pace of the market.

Overall, great experience. I'd use and recommend VU again and again.I only had 2 issues. One, when VU was recommending a real estate agent, I requested it be a woman, and it was, but I was told they couldn't guarantee that. Well, I have a right to request that, and had I not gotten a female real estate agent after that's what I requested, I'd have just found my own. It turns out though, Jenn, my real estate agent, could not have been more amazing. If someone requests a man or a woman, let them. You don't know why, and it's not your business. Make them comfortable. $224,000 is a lot to spend to not be able to request what you want. The other issue was the first VU rep that tried helping me with insurance. He kept messing things up, so I had to request someone else and ended up with a manager who was amazing. I was charged a monthly installment for my new auto ins. policy, and it should have been 6 months all at once so I could save over $140. It got fixed very professionally by Shelby, but it was a hassle prior to working with her.But overall, everyone was kind and easy to work with. I had no idea all I qualified for as a veteran by using a VA loan. I'd do it again. I'd use VU again for sure.

My wife purchased many homes in the passed and by far this has been the best experience for her and it has been a great experience for me purchasing our home together for the first time. Thanks to the Veterans United team for their support.

This is one of the worse experiences we've had with home buying. The communication was horrible. They kept asking for the same thing over and over after it's been sent. I'd follow up with an email or a office call asking them to confirm receipt or if the document was sufficient and there would be no response. I sent the document they requested on September 8th and didn't hear back until September 26th. The last item was so late in response that they were still asking for the same thing 5 days, not 5 business days but 5 days prior to closing. We were expected to close on September 21st but we requested to close on October 3rd. You'd figure giving the loan team an extra 12 days to close, they'd get their stuff together but no, it was delayed further. No one really moved until I called the management team. Derrick from the management team and somehow there were phone calls being made. Then an apology of I'm sorry I was out of town. We understand going out of town, however, to not communicate is unacceptable. Everyone kept saying how the file looked easy enough but somehow everyone dropped the ball. Incompetent and inconsiderate at the only words that can describe this team.
