EDDIE & CANDY TURNER
Made things very simple.
Tony, Rachel and the rest of the team were top notch and on top of everything the whole time, I couldn’t ask for a better team to have handle the process from start to finish.
We received such personal attention every step of the way. We have moved many times and had many home loans and I can honestly say that working with Daniel and his team was like working with friends. They gave us such personal attention. Half way through the process we received a gift in the mail. It was such a pleasant surprise. After moving in and the process was all over we received another gift in the mail. It was so unexpected. I continue to get e-mails to assist me with setting up automatic withdrawal and keep up on line with my account. Veterans United takes a very long tedious process and actually makes it a pleasant experience.
The loan process was non intuitive. There were about 40 pre actions thrown at us without explanation of their purpose unless we reached out to ask for an explanation. Our title was not completed properly, which will result in a financial burden on us to fix. After putting so much money towards a down payment, it is straining on us to fix the mistake. Additionally, $13,000 was spent for closing costs just to receive an incorrect title. It's a mess.I will be counseling my Soldiers to find a loan elsewhere if they ask me.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Andrew,
I’m really sorry to hear how frustrating and overwhelming this experience has been. A loan process should feel clear and guided, not confusing or filled with unanswered questions, and I understand how difficult it must have been to navigate so many steps without proper context.
I also hear your concerns about the title issue and the financial strain it’s causing. That’s a serious situation, especially after the investment you’ve already made, and I’m sorry for the added stress this has created.
I’d truly like the opportunity to take a closer look at what happened, both with the communication throughout your loan and the title concerns, to better understand where things went wrong. If you’re open to it, please reach out to me directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so we can review this together.
Our team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, and we’ll follow up as soon as possible if you reach out outside those hours.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
I would highly recommend Veterans United for one simple fact - James Browning. HE is why I give Veterans a 10. He is a very patient man, calm in demeaner. He was patient when I called and was confused and took the time to explain what I was asking about and would repeat it if necessary. He never acted like I was bothering him or annoying him. He answers his phone! I don't expect anyone to always be available but he was always quite available. 10 Stars plus!!!
Jayden and the Team were wonderful.
Words are not enough to say how much I’m grateful for everything that Paul did for me. He’s more than great, friendly, very professional and has great work ethic. Thank you very much Paul for all your time and effort and for giving me another chance with this mortgage. It means a lot to me, and I’m very grateful. Thank you sir.
Bennet was awesome! Very quick on call backs, texts and very clear on directions and kept me on track. All the team were very nice! Thank you all!
Phillip and his team went far and beyond to help us accomplish our dream of buying our home!
What a great experience. From beginning to end. Couple bumps in the road due to home appraisal nothing to do with Veterans United. But i can tell you they came up with another way. Felt the fees were kind of high but otherwise very happy with their performance.
The whole process from getting approval to closing on our house was incredibly easy. Working with Veterans United was such a positive experience and helped to put all of our worries as ease. Our Loan Officer was extremely informative and always positive when we spoke. She always went above and beyond to answer any questions we had. Even though we didn't need to, I still watched all of the videos on the VU website about the whole home buying process. I would definitely recommend watching those even if you've bought a house before! I can't imagine using a different loan company. An absolute 5 star experience!!
It was fine. Alice was great.
Alex Herbel and his team are awesome. Been working with Alex since around 2014. He is our go to person. We will always be Veterans United people. Thank you.

Experience first-hand why 372,908 homeowners give us a perfect score!
My experience with Scott, Brad, and the entire team has been without equivocation "awesome"! My team is very astute, patient, thorough, diligent, professional; "as well", their efficacy is second to none. Throughout this journey my family and I, have felt safe, confident, and truly "blessed" by this relationship. "To God be The Glory"! Thank You Veteran's United for standing in the gap for our family, and other Veteran's like us.
Great communication throughout the entire process.
They work well with you to get you set up for the future in your new home. They will walk you through every step of the process and will answer any and all questions you have. I purchased my house after the holidays and before and during the holidays my team of specialist worked hard to make sure I got in my home after the new year!
Straight forward, professional but personal and trustworthy.
They did everything they could in my best interest. Highly recommend!
My loan team was great. Paul was on top of everything and kept me in the loop. He had all the answers to my questions and kept my expectations on what to expect with the mortgage process realistic.
