I do not agree with the process of proof of future employment. I was very fortunate for the position I was able to acquire post-military service, yet this was the biggest sticking point when acquiring my loan. Weeks of follow on questions, as well as contacting the human resources department directly, multiple times, to provide even further proof of my employment. Some veterans are not as fortunate as me, especially those being abruptly discharged due to medical reasons. I understand the concern with missing payments but I believe that the current system could be refined to help smooth the process for transitioning service members.
