We had a negative and confusing experience with another lender who was not looking out for our best interest and Nathan cleared things up for us. Once we decided to use VU we were amazed at the difference. The online portal is very easy to use yet secure and we loved getting our documents in the mail along the way as well. VU is a great at explaining things step by step when you are a first time homebuyer who does not know much about the process.

Our refinance experience with Veterans United was exceptional. Kris, our loan officer, demonstrated consistent patience and transparency, and successfully guided us through approval despite my husband’s high DTI ratio. He remained attentive throughout the process, even notifying us personally when the funds were wired to the title company. Alexis, the loan coordinator, provided excellent support by ensuring all documentation requirements were met promptly. The level of service delivered by the entire Veterans United team far exceeded that of our previous lender, Bank of America, with whom we initially had a very poor experience. At my closing with the title company, we discussed the misconception that VA home loans are unfavorable or "hard to work with". I had always thought that sellers prefer to go with traditional funding over VA, but with how seamless my buying process was, that just doesn't make sense to me. With nearly all of the document signing being done online the communication between all parties was exceptionally efficient and convenient. I really appreciate how everyone on my team at Veteran's United touched base with me along the way and made sure I was aware of what was needed from me, and when. I feel like we all completed our tasks quickly, which kept the process rolling steadily. It was a month from offer acceptance to closing - and never felt scary or overwhelming. This was actually my second time using Veteran's United, first being in 2011. I had a good experience both times but the ease of online document signing made this experience stand out and far exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend Veteran's United!
