I am a 73 year old Vietnam veteran and an Army retired LTC. I thought there was no way I could get a mortgage. My wife and I recently remarried (to each other) and were living in a small apartment. Veterans United is veteran-friendly, understands that veterans have earned the privilege to use their home loan benefits, and removes many of the barriers upfront as compared to traditional banking institutions that offer the same service. I rated Veterans United an 8 out of 10. Their process was not perfect but efficient. The only item that was not online was the initial phone call to establish the loan. Once done, access was easy.
VU is a great lender to work with! They understand the veterans’ needs and the VA home-buying process which helped to make our experience almost seamless.

I dealt the most with Alissa and Melissa. However, I was contacted by all members of the team. It was a extremely easy process! I thought it was going to be much worse. Even down to the wire with only 3 days left til closing, they made it happen. I would strongly recommend!
