It was really great.Second, the process was seamless and integrated amazingly well with all of the DoW (DOD) systems I needed to log into to secure the loan and pre-approval. The experience was 10/10 until we reached the closing date. Clint was incredible to work with and helped me out every step of the way. There was a miscommunication so my spouse on the mortgage despite her not being present at signing. We were supposed to close on a Friday afternoon and it took until the following Wednesday to resolve all of the paperwork. I couldn’t reach anyone on the team that Friday evening and when one of the team members responded to my realtor I was not included in the response or contacted by veterans united. It felt like the team didn’t know what options I wanted to go ahead with.
The closer insisted on my spouse waiving her homestead rights if she wasn’t on the title, but didn’t explain why it was necessary. The title attorney and her team were also confused because it was an unusual request.
The team that helped me through the home buying process was amazing! I was beginning to think that I was never going to find a home that fit me and that it was not going to become a reality of owning my own home, however, through everything the team that I got connected with was there for me the whole time every single step of the way encouraging me and reassuring me that this was going to happen and it did!! I found a great little place and my team really came through for me to make it mine!!!
