If you’re still looking around for a lender, do yourself a favor and stop right here. I searched high and low. I only got spam calls, & unreasonable providers who only looked at my home purchase like dollar signs. It’s different here at Veterans United Home Loans. These guys are people who care. They only win if the service member and their families are absolutely satisfied. Do yourself this favor and let them help you close on your home. They’ll do EVERYTHING in their absolute power to make sure you’re taken cared of. You know what else? They make sure you are beyond secured. It was a great experience working with the Veterans United Home Loan Team. Scott, Blair, and Miles ensured I was kept up to date on the process of the loan and are always happy to answer any questions.This is the second home I have purchased with Veterans United Home Loans and each time I received world class customer service. We purchased the new home based on our past customer service experience and ongoing partnership.
Everyone I dealt with starting with Kyle, but including Jaclyn and Julie kept us informed of the progress of my loan and were excellent at explaining what was needed from me during the whole process. I never felt pressured or rushed. This was the 5th time I’ve closed on a home loan and it was by far the easiest and least stressful.
Everything was okay, but I’m not happy about the rate lock experience. I never told anyone at VU to go ahead and pull a rate lock. While we are happy with our rate, I’m not happy with the fees that stacked up to keep our rate locked.Would recommend touching base with buyers prior to locking a rate no matter how good.I expressed my dissatisfaction with our experience and nothing was done to make things right.At the very least I think VU should have taken some money off in regards to our rate lock fees as I never gave anyone consent to lock our rate.
