The VU team was very helpful, thorough and explain the process as you go along. You can always call them anytime and respond to phone, emails or text promptly. I will definitely recommend VU to VA applicants.

VA Home Loans was an excellent opportunity and experience in purchasing our home. Every VA Loan assistant within the process was always pleasant, Friendly and knowledgeable about the process and time frames. Wasn’t happy with being told I needed to do a water test three weeks before closing. Feel since Veterans United prides themselves on VA loans they should have mentioned a water test sooner. Went under contract on July 24th with a closing of September 10. Wasn’t told needed a water test until roughly August 24th. Due to the short notice had to spend extra money to expedite the test. Not once did anyone from Veterans United apologize for not mentioning it earlier. Now the first test failed which isn’t Veterans United’s fault, but if I know sooner to do the test could have had the well treated and water tested sooner and more than likely not been delayed on closing.I would recommend just make sure you do your own research on what the VA may require.

Hello James, we appreciate your feedback on this matter. Our team will be researching your appraisal process to determine what our team may do in the future to help prevent a similar delays. The appraisal process is managed directly by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and we understand how the home buying process can become stressful when working to overcome an unexpected delay. While Veterans United does not have direct control over the actions of third party providers, it is important that we work together to promote resolution for you. Our Client Advocate team will dig into your comments and work hard to ensure that we are learning whenever possible the best ways to ensure excellent customer service. Please reach out to us if you would like to discuss your experience further.

I would not recommend Veterans United after buying 2 homes with them. When I bought my first home with a VA Loan It was the most seamless process, when I bought with a conventional loan I became a second class customer.
