The hours of the VU team are very limiting (0800-1600 CST) in the sense that military personnel who will be using them may be calling from all over the world, and they only answer calls 8 out of the 24 hours of the day. A 24-hour team would be very helpful and streamline the process. Be prepared to move your life around being available for calls, etc while they are working, else slow the process down. A lack of initiative and sympathy from the VU team was apparent through the entire process, which forced our closing date to the right. I will tell everyone I know how bad my experience was with VU, to try to save others from a similar fate when buying a house.
