Make sure you stay on top of your loan team, they may not always be trying to do what’s in your best interest, and delays on their end may end up costing you extra money to extend rates. Don’t let them try to talk you into financing extra money just because they can’t figure out how to remove excessive escrow amounts from the monthly payment or any other mistakes.
