Veterans United is an excellent organization. They genuinely want to help Veterans get the very best advice and service in securing a VA loan.

There was some confusing portions when it came to the interest rate and how we got there. I think being up front about these things would be better. We had our discount applied for using a preferred realtor to the interest rate but this was not told until I pried about it enough. I also feel having the closing documents available to review less than 24 hours prior to meeting with the title company to sign them was not a reasonable amount of time if there were errors or things that were concerning. Luckily it checked out correctly however I feel this should have been available at least a few days prior to signing.I also had an issue with the perceived amount I was approved for and what was actually feesible. One week I was told 180k was our limit but that I would need to pay off the entirety of my debt to make that work. Them the next week I was bumped up to 200 and then told a house we put a 175k offer on would be really tight. This made it really hard to understand what I was actually working with and I wish the approval amount reflected what I could do feasibly better. Or at least communicated better.Overall the experience was interesting, certainly covid has made things complicated. I wasn't unhappy with the experience.

From the pre-approval process to completion, I did not have to worry about the outcome. The team at Veterans United kept me up to date on every aspect. The app is great as well as it allows you to know as soon as a new item is uploaded for your action. Shane Lowe and Addie Burr- outstanding!

Yes they closed on my loan, even closed early! Will never work with this company again. Liked on my rate when didn’t even know I was floating, didn’t even know they lock in 3.5% when market is at 3%! Horrible, Horrible experience and have the apology message from Lee in his approach and behavior!
Response from Veterans United
Jeffrey, We would first like to thank you for your honest feedback on you on how your loan process had gone. We strive to communicate and serve our clients with the best tools. Although we can not change what had happened, we would like to invite you to reach out to our client advocate team to discuss further. We thank you for your service and thank you for your service.

Would highly recommend.

We tried to work with other veteran "friendly" banks.... They were like a soup sandwich! When things went South with the Covid 19 we went on the back burner for the other bank. They had other issues to deal with I guess... They were not solely a Veteran bank and became "un-vet friendly" very quickly. Luckily we connected with Veterans United! Working ONLY with Veterans they were directly focused on us. It was like having a reliable leader to help us complete are home buying mission! Even with the current crisis going on we were in the best hands to get it done. Trust me.... These guys and gals are squared away!

The ease of the VIRRL process with a pre-existing loan with Veterans United was phenomenal. Getting the initial mortgage going and then refinancing were both great experiences.

I can’t thank Veterans United enough! We worked with them for about two years getting our credit profile ready to buy our first home. When the time cane, we were pre-approved and ready to go!
When rates dropped, our loan officer called and helped us start a refinance which saved us over $300 a month! Thank you Anne Kuster and team!!

Ready to see for yourself?
Experience first-hand why 353,523 homeowners give us a perfect score!
My second mortgage with this team. I will use them again and highly recommend them.

Good work, would recommend.

Kept me informed with the process. Work extremely hard to close on a house a week in advance to the planned closing date.

Veterans United was great to work with and we are satisfied with the experience.
