I would like to recommend Veterans United to family and friends. The Veterans United Home Loans is an example of an organization that truly helps a veteran like me. I cannot thank enough the Veterans United Home Loans for the time and effort that this organization has worked extremely for us this year of 2019. We appreciate your value.Alberto Barba was our loan officer, who has helped me tremendously to get the house of our dreams. I want to thank Alberto very sincerely with all of his effort shown just to make sure me, my wife and son get the house that we want to live. For that, I am deeply grateful to Alberto. My wife and I also met Alberto's team namely: Subah Mohua, Loan Coordinator, Lindsay Sieben, Loan Specialist, and Abby Wetzel, Real Estate Agent. We are thanking our loan team so much because me and my wife have received the best Christmas presents and making our December of 2019 very memorable.

It isnt an I would, it is an I will recommend to all of my veteran friends and family. John and Ashton made this extremely stressful process extremely smooth. I can not say enough good about them and their communication. They made my first house purchase so easy. The home buying process is a hard one. Veteran United Home Loans takes this process and turns it into an organized, well-running machine. They hold your hand throughout, from start to end with notifications, reminders, literature on every step of the process, and kind, caring people when you call. I couldn't imagine where I would be, educationally speaking, on the home buying process. They are professional and transparent with you every step of the way and I couldn't be happier with their services.

Overall it was a good process. BUT right at the end the Monday before we were first scheduled to close 11/27, I was notified the closing disclosures was not sent to us or not forward on. Seems FL has a law about a 3 day wait once the CD is sent. Thus, our closing was moved to 12/2. The owner of the house was kind enough to allow us to continue the lease from 12/28/19 to 12/2/19 without any additional rent. The change in closing dates did not set great with us. Someone should be at the end be checking each day to make sure items are sent on time to the folks trying to get their home closed.

I gave an overall 6 because we had some growing pains with VU. It was an incredible process in the beginning and my loan specialist and transition coordinator were on it but once we got our interest rate locked in and was fully under the transition coordinator things went awry. It was slow and our urgency didn’t seem to be theirs. I’d recommend for the benefits but our process took 50 days. And I have very good credit and a clean report. I also understand underwriting isn’t my loan officer or coordinators fault but I was asked for the same documents 3-4 times in some cases. Again that may be normal, I’m a first time home buyer. We asked for a longer closing at first to sell our home but we sold our home very fast and VU struggled immensely trying to fill our request to close sooner. We were forced to live with family for two weeks. Other fellow military members didn’t not have such a sluggish process. Also on the day of closing it took almost an hour to get our closing paperwork. These dates are shared with everyone, the title company, VU, and me as the buyer, why did it take that long. That and a few other issues is why I gave the overall an average score thanks.
