When dealing with a VA loan it would be beneficial to tell the borrower all the requirements of the VA upfront and send them a clearer list of things the borrower will have to take care of and pay for themselves so it isn't all of a sudden/last minute. For people who do not live in an urban setting it takes longer since these services are not always locally available.

The home buying process can be a very stressful one, especially as a first time home buyer. Veteran's United made the process very easy! The online system was very easy to navigate and overall informative. I learned a lot from the home buying videos, and of course my loan specialist. Veteran's United has thought of everything to make this process easy, and the care that they take is beyond anything I have experienced.
Working with Veterans United Home Loans was a great and painless experience. I was able to do nearly everything online or through my phone which was a great feature for someone who has a busy life.
For someone who has owned a home, or has had a longer history or credit/rent/ utilities etc. I would definitely recommend, but for a first time home buyer I feel less likely to recommend, due to the lack of knowledge they need and lack of underwriting components to help the process be smoother. But over all I learned a lot and just glad it is done.

The experience was good overall. However, I was very disappointed with how the final verification of employment was handled for me. We almost didn’t close because of it. In the future this verification should be requested sooner than the day of closing.
