Everyone was fantastic! So kind and professional too. Kept us informed and answered our questions promptly. Ed was great getting us connected to Mike who understood our desire to keep our payments affordable and knowing when to lock our loan at the right time as well as making our rate buy down a smart decision for us. Kristine kept us informed on the underwriting process to help us stay on track. Really will highly recommend Veterans United to any veterans we meet looking to get a home loan. VU really feels like extended family to us! Additionally VU connected us with a terrific realty agent. He's a new friend to us!

My ENTIRE team at Veterans United went above and beyond for me. They answered every question with patience and detail. No matter how trivial the concern they were ALWAYS available for me.

I started the process with 40+ days to closing and voiced I wanted to have the approval done ahead of time so I wasn't dealing with anything the last couple weeks. Instead they drug their feet. The biggest issue is you make people lock into a rate even if rates drop. That's why the company is rated lower than the people.

Response from Veterans United

Hi James,

Im really sorry to hear that the process didnt go as smoothly as you had planned, especially given the extra time you allowed to try and avoid last-minute stress. I can imagine how discouraging it must have been to feel like things were dragging out when you were trying to get everything done ahead of time. That kind of pressure in the final weeks before closing is something we definitely aim to avoid.

I also hear your frustration about the rate lock situation. Its tough when rates drop and youre locked into something higherthats never easy to deal with. While I cant change what happened, Id be happy to dig into your experience further to see if we can offer some clarity or helpful feedback.

If youd be open to chatting more, please feel free to reach out to my team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. Wed love the chance to help.

Mike was maxing as getting us closed on our new house the same day we finished the assumption process on our previous house. He was proactive and kept working with the VA to get my husbands COE updated so we could close. Incredibly impressed by Mike!
