Clay and his team did an excellent job. They communicated with me through the entire loan process. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner and I felt confident our loan would be processed on time. I’m very happy and satisfied with Veterans United Home Loans, I would definitely recommend them and use them again for a home purchase!
I thought the process was fluid. It was a quick loan process unlike some I’ve seen.
Jason and his team have helped me a few times now and they’re always informed and quick to respond. A very easy team to work with.

Professional Service and Support
We were assisted the whole duration of finding a home. If we had any questions it was answered right away
They made my first time home buying experience smooth. I was very pleased with with their expertise from the beginning with getting my credit in line to where it needs to be to securing the loans and approval to buy a home to finding a great realtor in my area that was able to meet my needs and wants. Josh DeLeon was fantastic and would recommend anyone to him and the veterans united team!
We’ve used VU several times and it’s always been a great hassle free process. This is the first time we’ve worked with Lisa and she just rose the bar even higher. She answered all our questions promptly. We received answers to questions even after normal business hours!
The process was flawless and the team at Veterans United kept us on track, informed, and closing quickly.

Listen. If you are serious about owning a home, Veterans United is definitely a preferred option, in my opinion. The steps it took to purchasing our home was frustrating to say the least. In my wife and I case, we were purchasing from our landlord, so a realtor wasn't necessary. However, gathering the necessary documents, coordinating with the different agencies like appraisals, home inspections, insurance, title company, and loads of paperwork, signatures, and questions are still very much a part of the process. Our team, Nick Holman, Courtney Gully, Francie Greene, and the rest of their supporting members were there from the first phone until the closing on our home. They fielded every question, listened to all of our frustration, guided us through the whole process step by step, and we're encouraging, patient, professional, and, most of all, very polite, friendly, and engaging whenever we were in contact with them. I mean they kept in touch by phone, text, and email. Even sent us mail. Who does that in this technology age? Seriously, they were the best team my wife and I could ask for in communicating with us and our landlord to make this dream a reality!! I highly recommend Veterans United to anyone who’s reading this review, or anyone who asks is this company for real. To our team, Nick Holman, Courney Gully, Francie Greene, and their supporting team members, thank you for everything! We can't say thank you enough. My wife, Valencia Long, and I now own our home!!!
Reed was very communicative and supportive. I have bought 2 homes with Reed and both processes were smooth.
We were told several times….”everything looks good” to be told two days later they needed something else. Originally we were supposed to close the end of the month in June, but it was pushed back to July. We were asked about our HOA- there is not one on June 14….. then on the 29 they started looking for verification.
There were also additional costs that we were not informed at the beginning of the process, such as an appraisal and a bug check. Since there are apparently routine we should have been informed. The notary that came for the signing was the only competent person that we worked with- and she was an outsider person they hired for the signing.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Jeremiah,
I'm sorry to hear your experience didn't meet your expectations. I can understand how frustrating it would be to hear everything was on track, only to be asked for additional information later and have your closing delayed. I also understand how disappointing it would be to encounter unexpected costs and feel like those expenses weren't clearly communicated from the beginning.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'd like the chance to learn more about what happened and better understand your experience. Please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. The Client Advocate team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. If you contact us after hours, we'll typically respond the next business day.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
