Our loan officer, Eric Johnson was great. Would highly recommend him. We were able to close in under 30 days.VU origination fees were high in comparison to other options, but we were on a tight timeline and didn’t want to re-shop for a lender.Other than fees, it was an easy and straightforward process.
Before switching over to a local loan officer, the corporate one wasn’t on top of things at all. Did not answer for a week, other than that, everything was on point and I absolutely would recommend VU. Also the switch was extremely quick and seamless should you encounter the same issue.
Kellen and Dene were responsive and helpful at every stage of the game. If I had a question they didn't have the answer to they had it back to me within a day.
The whole staff was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Listen. If you are serious about owning a home, Veterans United is definitely a preferred option, in my opinion. The steps it took to purchasing our home was frustrating to say the least. In my wife and I case, we were purchasing from our landlord, so a realtor wasn't necessary. However, gathering the necessary documents, coordinating with the different agencies like appraisals, home inspections, insurance, title company, and loads of paperwork, signatures, and questions are still very much a part of the process. Our team, Nick Holman, Courtney Gully, Francie Greene, and the rest of their supporting members were there from the first phone until the closing on our home. They fielded every question, listened to all of our frustration, guided us through the whole process step by step, and we're encouraging, patient, professional, and, most of all, very polite, friendly, and engaging whenever we were in contact with them. I mean they kept in touch by phone, text, and email. Even sent us mail. Who does that in this technology age? Seriously, they were the best team my wife and I could ask for in communicating with us and our landlord to make this dream a reality!!
