Overall the process of purchasing my first home was straightforward and easy. I was helped and guided throughout the entire process and all my questions were answered. First I want to say, Thank you Veteran’s United. My husband and I needed to get in to a 1 story home due to health reasons. I started my mortgage journey in August 2024. After Rocket and Zillow could not meet our needs, I contacted Veterans United. Thanks to Jeremy Arnold and his great team (Beth M. and Vickie B.), we were able to close in December. Veterans United made the process super easy with the “To Do” list. They kept us informed at every step, and the communication was stellar. Jeremy listened to our needs thoroughly, knew what budget we were working with, and what our GOAL was to be in regards to a monthly mortgage payment. He explained exactly what we needed to do (financially) to reach that goal. He is awesome with numbers, and always returned my calls promptly. Jeremy reassured me many times when I had real doubts about certain issues. He walked us thru everything with such a calming demeanor and professionalism. We had a stressful closing issue come up at the very last minute with seller, and it looked like we would not close in 2024, but Jeremy and my realtor Julie C. kept working at it and got the issue resolved. I'd recommend you publish your VA mortgage rates, same as almost everyone else does. I almost skipped working with VU simply because your rates aren't published, so being naturally suspicious, I thought there's probably an unhappy reason you don't show that info (as well as others like funding fee, etc) until we're well into the process. So....bump up your transparency and I could rate you 11 on a 10-point scale.
