Nathan and Ryan were great. I couldn't have asked for a better team. When I was super stressed over the process, they were both so amazing at helping me understand everything. I was always able to get responses from them quickly and they answered my question in a way that made me understand how things worked. I can't say anything negative about either of them or this experience because they were the best. Couldn't have done it all without them.
This is the Second time Bob helped us to get our new house and this time was a new construction house! All Great people on Bob’s team, Crystal also great at answering every question and making every part of the process the easiest possible, answers right away every time! I’ll be definitely recommend this great team! Thanks again for everything.
I would do it allover again with Veterans United!!
Overall, our experience was very mixed. There were some huge positives to include the responsiveness of our loan officer, the ease in getting our pre-approval letter so we could shop for our new home, and the online portal that made getting requested documentation into Veteran's United easy. In addition, our loan officer was very on point in communicating with us about locking our rate and how to best time the lock.At the end of the day though, we missed our closing date, which was well into the future when we signed the contract for our house and started loan approval process, due to the ineptness of the loan team. At the last minute, multiple pieces of documentation were requested by underwriters which should have been foreseen well ahead of time. Some of those documents could be produced quickly, but others could not. The net result was we missed our scheduled closing date and had to reschedule multiple moving events, re-sign contracts and generally scramble at the last minute due to this ineptness. The last week of our loan application process was a nightmare as a result. None of the delay was due to us not providing requested material on time, but due to the loan team requesting documents at the last minute. What had started out as almost a "dream" process ended in a nightmare. Only due to the flexibility of the sellers, the hard work of our real estate agent and the sellers agent, and the professionalism of the local title/closing company were we able to make it work. We are now very happy in our house, but unfortunately we could not in good conscience recommend Veteran's United to any of our friends. I would not put anyone else through the stress we experienced in the last 2 weeks prior to closing that we went through. I will also add this is the seventh house we have purchased in over 30 years and never before was I getting requests from an underwriter for documentation 24 hours before closing. Again, it was very unfortunate that what started out as a very professional, synchronized and efficient process devolved into the scramble it became.
I new I wanted to become a homeowner. Thanks to Veteran United and my Veteran status my dream became a reality. I didn't have all my Veteran documentation in order. so I personally want to thank my loan officer Tim for coaching me along the way. I receive notification almost daily from the team from Veteran United which made me feel at ease with the process.
My team at veterans united made the home buying process very easy. As issues came up the team was right there to answer any questions and help me get them taken care of. They were very informative and never kept me in the dark about anything. It was nice to get the updates and always know what was going on with my loan.
So wonderful to have such an easy and professional company like Veterans United Home Loans to guide us in obtaining a loan to finance our forever condo. Everyone was the most congenial and informative and eased us into an affordable special loan provided to a veteran. Bravo Veterans United Home Loans! We will spread the word how great was the service you provided.
When it comes down to it there's a lot of things that was done well I think they were doing not so well not having a proper plan when I finish to us or the buyer and the big issue comes down to not have it all information and then feeling rushed to scrape up whenever the inspection costs are that basically just get dropped going you versus having like a full layout playing or or basically itinerary of things are going to happen as you move closer to the closing date you think they to look out for inspections water inspection from the pest inspection foundation inspected all these things each property is different I know that for sure and that's what needs to be cut and tailored to the property for the buyer
We closed in less than 3 weeks. The Team at VAU were so helpful and made thus process very smooth.

We could not have done this without you All!Thank you so much!Terry and Wendy Villers
The entire team was excellent. I work nights and usually sleep during normal business hours, they really went above and beyond working early mornings and late evenings so that I didn't have to sacrifice my sleep to get my first home.
This was by far the best experience ever buying a home. This is my 3rd house and everything was so perfect and fast that I kept wondering what was the catch. Very happy to have picked Veteran’s United and extremely happy of the team who helped me.
