Kyle and Justin were very helpful in getting this loan knocked out in a timely matter
Thanks to Ben, Kayla, and the rest of our team. We couldn't have gotten through it as easily and quickly as we did without them!
Best part was that, when I had a question, everyone responded quickly.
Veterans United has this process down to a science. They make it simple and easy. I will use them if I have to move again. They are OUTSTANDING.
Overall great experience
Home buying can be very stressful. VU told me exactly what I needed to secure my loan.
Felt good to work with people who understand the military lifestyle and the stressful situations all of us are put in. It's no different when buying a house hundreds of miles away and my team made it seem all too easy.
Well.............When we first inquired about Veterans United, we wanted to know what made you different? Why did you receive such a high rating online? What could you offer? What were the current terms, rates and turn-around time? We couldn't get any answers from your company until we completed an application and submitted our information. Alyssa was who we started with. She assured us that we could apply for a re-finance with cash out and consolidation (we needed about $145,000 with the house value of $285,000). We were referred to Matt. Matt took the info and stated that Heather would be handling "the details" from that point on.Heather was sweet. She asked us to order an appraisal (this was not a surprise). Then she stated the title company wouldn't accept the land survey that was completed in 2011 and on file with the county. She told us we needed to have another survey done. We refused-nothing had changed since the survey had been done. She finally came back and stated that the title company had agreed to go with the existing survey. (Great!), then she stated that we needed to have a pest inspection done at our cost. Another cost that wasn't expected. AND mind you that we still had not received a loan approval. The pest inspection was completed and we had to have a treatment done --again, more cost and still no loan approval. FINALLY we received notice that the loan was approved. While going over the final disclosure paperwork, and one (1) day before signing the closing paperwork; we discovered that the "cash back" had never been considered. Alyssa had left the company and Matt & Heather supposedly didn't know that we wanted cash back. Matt stated that we could "start over again" because he wanted to make sure we were happy with the loan. We decided NO because we had already jumped through enough hoops and spent enough money out of pocket, we just wanted to get this done!!. Sooooo, we signed papers on Monday, July 10th and were told that we had to wait 3 business days. Friday, July 14th, Matt sent Peggy a notice that congratulated us on the loan closing and stated the monies were dispersed that day. Well here we are on the 24th of July and only 1 of the accounts out of 5 have received any money. We are receiving hate mail from 4 companies because of late payment and being charged a late fee plus extra interest. We have no way of checking the process because we are unsure who to contact to verify the money has been sent out. We did send an email to Matt, hoping he could help explain what is going on. We are grateful for your services, but frustrated at the whole process. We are waiting.....................Praying for a happy ending.
Andy was amazing!! He answered all of the questions we had and made our experience go very smooth! Working with him was a breeze! His team was also amazing; Diana, Noelle, Kimberly. 10/10 recommend!
This was my third transaction with Josh (so far), can’t say enough good things about him. He’s incredibly polite, helpful, experienced, responsive, efficient, and knowledgeable. If any issues arise, he handles them with ease. 10/10 highly recommend!
Honestly Veterans United was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. I loved working with Jamie. She was such an amazing help to me and my wife and we couldn’t have gotten through this process as smoothly as we did without her assistance. Thank you so much!
PS we absolutely love our new home!
My only complaint is with Anthony. I do not believe he truly cared about our purchase. He slow walked everything. I had to ask multiple times for things and to get questions answered. He told me to travel prior to the clear to close even thought he told me it was done and it wasnt. He told me he would have the clear to close multiple times but never really had it. When I had questions he didn't respond to my emails or phone calls. There was a question I had for weeks and must have asked him 10 times on how to fix it and he ignored my request until the very end because it was something he needed to do and he did it in the last week in 5 minutes. I stressed over that for weeks because I didn't know what it was I needed to do to comlete the todo list. Giving a veteran a todo list than not answering the question on how to compete it was very nerve racking. I do not believe that should ever take place especially with a veteran who is used to completing tasks in a timely manner. The lack of communication with Anthony was very stressful and made the experience very unpleasant. He asked for the same documentation and same questions more than once. Probably 3 or 3 times before he would actually take care if it. It seems like he is distracted or very unorganized.
