Derrick was awesome sometimes shifting from your primary loan officer to working with with a loan coordinator. I sometimes notice the responses and prompt emails slow down. This was not the case with Derrick. Further noted, if Derrick did not have an answer he immediately would reach out and find the answer. One thing that I loved about Derrick is that if he didn't have an answer rather than telling me something wrong he said he would get back to me. Sometimes businesses like the placate the customer and just tell them what they want to hear. I was glad that Derrick did not do that.
I am currently talking with some fellow Veterans and I am informing them of Veterans United! As my Home buying experience was fantastic.
My 2 issues this time around are, request all the documents needed at once not 1 seven times a day. The second, find a new Appraiser that will actually complete her work on time in an accurate fashion. In the event an issue comes up, ensure that the customer is called not emailed at the end of the day.

My Graham and Bryan made my home buying experience so easy. They were always responding to emails within a minutes. I love to stay in touch especially when I have a project at hand.

I had to be out of my previous residence by a certain day because my lease was running out. The team made sure my closing went off without a hitch 5 days before that occurred. That allowed me those 5 days to move without rushing around at the last minute. Thanks, team!

Working with Veterans United was an extremely smooth process from start to finish. The pre-approval process was smooth, Alex our loan officer was great! Our loan coordinator not so much. Our real estate agent and I did much of the follow up and work. We closed a week late and we only closed because of our agent and Alex. The loan coordinator communication was often hit or miss and I called often for updates. Lots of confusion on loan coordinators part. Underwriting was slow. Part of the issue was seller incorrectly filled out a document and this should have been addressed when it was originally submitted. NOT the day before closing. Our loan coordinator missed important emails that came thru.
Alex and the closing team were amazing! They rushed the paperwork on Thursday so we could close Friday! First home buying experience and it wasn’t the easiest but at least it’s done and over!
