Easy to work with, does a good job checking in with rates. We have stayed in contact since I started the buying process back in 2023! Like any process there will always be hiccups, but as a team everything was handled professionally and we worked through any problems/issues we had! Veterans United treats everyone with the respect and care they deserve. I am not the veteran of my house, but I did most of the work to secure a home and they treated me just as nice as they’d treat any veteran. This means a lot to me working for a WNY Veteran nonprofit.
Working with Veterans United was an overall amazing experience. They made the home-buying process much easier to navigate. However, there was one hiccup: the day before closing, I was told that the closing date would need to be pushed back due to a required repair. The repair company wasn’t scheduled to complete the work until a few days after closing, but the seller and I had already agreed to set aside escrow funds to cover the repairs after closing.What made this frustrating was that the team had this information weeks in advance but didn’t communicate it sooner. This last-minute change caused a lot of stress, as I had to consider rescheduling plans and had already notified my landlord of my move-out date. Thankfully, the team quickly reached out to the repair company, and it turned out the work had already been completed earlier than scheduled. This allowed us to close on the original date, which was a huge relief.While I wish the situation had been handled more proactively, the rest of the process was smooth, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
