This was my third time purchasing a home but my first with Veterans United. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. The process was smooth my team communicated with me throughout the way and gave me a since of ease. If you’re thinking about using them PLEASE DO you won’t regret it.
My initial experience with Veterans United Hime loans goes back to 2016, Chris Birk and from that period until now working with Blake Thompson reminded me about the reason I kept Veterans United among my list of important contacts. I loved and appreciated the dashboard, frequent communications, checklists, and educational videos. The unexpected tokens I received ( flag, monogrammed blanket, and more) warmed my heart and kept me motivated. I felt special and respected as a veteran and customer—Blake Thompson’s was superb and I applaud the team’s expertise, thoroughness, expediency, post closing availability, and desire to make home buying an easier than expected experience, Overall: Superb and bench-marking! When I decided to purchase a home, I initially contacted Navy Federal Credit Union. No knock on them, but I didn’t feel comfortable. It felt very commercial. When I contacted Veterans United it was a totally different feeling. It felt like home. It felt right. I am so glad that I chose Veterans United for my home purchase. Everything at VU is set up to help the veteran. You guys make it seamless. I truly enjoyed this experience, and I plan to do it again.

Great team through and through. I didn’t go into the process with high hopes and they were able to put me in the house I wanted. They may have even gone a little above and behind to get my numbers right. Excited to have my first house and I’m glad what started as a probably not, turned into an OMG I have my own house now. VU was there from start to finish, no matter how many questions I had, no matter how many times I've bug my team for an update, or some clarifications. Everyone was so kind and patient (even if that weren't actually the case they pulled it off expertly lol) I felt welcome the whole time and would 100 percent recommend VU for any future home buyers. Still waiting for car loans to be paid off as well as credit cards. I thought when my cash out money hit my account the payoffs would hit the others but here I am three days after the transfer to my bank acount and the car payment is comming out of my account.Other than that they were very good and helpful.

I kind of had an idea that home buying is a process, and kind of prepared myself for it. But, oh boy, when it comes to the underwriter, he/she/them can be nitpicking. Although, I'm totally aware the reason behind it, but when someone assured them that the car only has 4 legs and a tail... Stop looking for the 5th leg, because you'll never find it!!! So, again a huge thank you to Mrs. Buckridge and all her team for standing next to me and not showing me to give up. As a matter of fact, I recommend you for a small raise and at least a paid vacation to wherever you choose, VU will take the tab. Lol 😁👍🇵🇷
