Smoothest home loan I've ever been through. Very easy to deal with and the technology used to collect needed information for closing was easy to use. I've purchased 5 homes in my life and this was by far the easiest process.
My experience with Veterans United was complicated. In my experience, the different departments have a big disconnect. One dept. tells another dept. what is required without telling them why. So when underwriting requires one thing they will let loan officers, but don't explain why. so when u inquire they have to go back and fourth to understand why and still don't completely know why. My loan officer did everything she was supposed to but struggled to because underwriting gave vague requests without explaining why. There was issues just days before closing with my account that almost ruined me financially but the higher ups stepped in and fixed it at the 12 th hour. All in all, my loan officer did the best she could with the tools she had available. I'm just glad that I don't have to do this process ever again.
Great process overall. I was very surprised at how easy the entire process was which was awesome. I would and will be recommending VU to other members.

We reached out the Veterans United just to see what we would qualify for just on my active duty pay so that we could see where we were and then calculate what we would be at in a few months after my retirement. They took that and ran with it and with the ability to work with projected pay and my new job they were able to go ahead and grant the home loan on future pays. It was a pleasure to work with the team from start to finish. They were always there to answer questions and the use of a group text made it even easier to work the process. They will be the first and only call we make each time we buy a home from here on out. I can't say thank you enough to Ted and the entire team!

A lot of things need to happen to close on a mortgage. As a first-time homeowner, I underestimated how hectic the process could be. I feel pleased with the decision to go with Veterans United. They made the process seamless. VU is a technology-driven company with a solid human touch. I could upload all the needed documents and connect my bank accounts while communicating with the lending team via email and text. My lending team was very responsive and was always available to answer any questions. Even our realtor said this is the best lending team she has ever worked with. I highly recommend Veterans United to other first-time buyers.
