I feel like they went above and beyond and we're very friendly while still being professional. I would highly recommend to anyone because moving and buying a new house is very stressful and when your lender team is as great as mine was it takes a lot of the stress out of the situation.

In terms of a loan officer and his team, I hold them in the highest regard, and am grateful that I was able to work with them. In the future, should we need another home loan, we'll go through VU because of Ben Choi and his team. Top rating!
There's just SO much that I can put here... from Jon Abernathy, Beau Roberts, and Kimberly Moravec, up to and including Matthew Fitzgerald... I just don't have the vocabulary to THANK EVERYONE enough. The way Laura & I were treated... ALWAYS in a kind, and timely manner. That meant a LOT to me. With THAT as the forethought of the whole process (and throughout!) it made the process SO relaxing. YES... there was bumps in the road, but everyone listed above helped us get painstakingly through them!
The verbal walk-throughs on applications, signatures needed, to understanding the stresses of the what/where/when/why of being naive about things.

I had a wonderful experience with them in my first VA home loan. They secured me the lowest interest rate, and they were there to answer any questions throughout the entire process. They were with me during every step of the process, which for smooth sailing throughout. I would highly recommend Veterans United.
It was good over all
Underwriter was still asking for documents the day before closing because they could not follow directions or read the notes on the loan. First loan team had to get fired because they went AWOL and would not respond to anything. Had to pester loan officer for a closing amount to make the transfer. Giving a closing amount 24hrs prior to closing is unacceptable as most banks can take 1-3 days to complete a wire transfer. Additionally, the loan officer was not responsive until the final hour when we were close to closing and they realized everything was teetering on the edge.I had none of these issues when using homestar on my last home. It added a ton of uncertainty and extra stress to the process. I will tell everyone i know getting a VA loan to run away from VU.

Recommend an initial call to explain how the app works and what the "To Dos" are. I had to send an email to have someone explain the "To Dos" even though they were self explained. Still need someone to guide me through it in the beginning, and once I was used to them, I was good.
Buying a home wasn’t supposed to be this easy. The VU team was responsive, engaged, and friendly.
