First, the "conditional approval" phase provides a false sense of completeness and the duration is overly long. We literally sold another property which Closed 2 days earlier and the VA Loan agency those buyers used had their own underwriting team in-house. Those buyers had lower credit and did not put any down payment on the property and still had a full approval 9 days before the Closing date. From the time they applied for the loan to Closing for them was also 3 weeks SHORTER in duration.Literally, the day before the loan was to Close on our property, I was contacted and a comment (which felt a bit like a blackmail tactic - although that language is a bit strong) was made that if we did not sign a Gift Letter that was part of our loan IN PEN and INK and return by noon, our loan/Closing would be in jeopardy. Had we not already electronically signed and returned said Gift Letter the evening prior and had the Gift Letter not have been from myself (wife) to my own husband, perhaps this would not have been as frustrating/insulting. This leads me to the next issue I had: the process was proposed as an electronic one. I began to resent the fine print/fun print in the signature blocks! If it is acceptable to guarantee a loan with an electronic signature, why in the world is an electronic signature on a gift letter between spouses not acceptable? We had an unbelievably long period in which to purchase this home (because we had to wait on the Seller to vacate) and still - - ONE day before Closing the idea that our loan Closing could be delayed because an underwriting team member could not approve an ink signature is absolutely absurd. I received an apology and the Closing occured, however, the added stress one day prior and the language "if you don't get this one item complete by a certain time, we'll delay your Closing" seems inappropriate and felt a bit like a hostage demand. I am not sure that this company realizes that we are the customers and are paying a good deal of money for their services. I didn't appreciate that attitude either. This was NOT the feeling we got from the representatives we worked with. As I said - they were fantastic! But, they can't drive the Veteran's United bus; they're passengers. We take exception to the requirement to allow access to tax returns that were not used in making a decision to originate the loan for us also. If you didn't need it to loan us the money; you don't need it to service the loan. Please pay attention to the IVES form! Also, you can verify with your bank that once your closing is complete, this company no longer has access to your banking information. It's one of the few options you can control under the Patriot Act which, in our opinion, is used in an overreach capacity to gain unfettered access to your PRIVATE financial information. Please check that out and understand what will be required of you prior to signing everything.

In the multiple homebuying experiences we've had ---> I HAVE SEEN NO ONE BETTER!! Kevin is a TRUE PROFESSIONAL who causes a complex homebuying process to operate with seamless precision. From the very beginning of my borrowing experience with Veterans United, Kevin constantly looked at and vetted all calculations to ensure my closing was on time, and without discrepancy, then clearly guided us through the logic of each decision. He is devoted with a meticulous orientation to tasks (a characteristic normally seen in the top levels of corporate management), yet charismatic and pleasantly communicative with people (as one would expect from a Fortune 500 executive).Bottom line...Kevin is an Air Force veteran who deeply cares about making sure the buying experiences of fellow veterans match the same high standards upon which he served, as an active duty Airman! As a Commander in the US Navy, I want guys like Kevin on my team!Fair winds and following Seas, and thank you, Kevin...Sincerely,
AJ and Mariana Stone

We Lost our Home of 22 years due to a Truck driving through it and making it a condemned Place. we live here for 22 years with three different times our Home was Hit; we are now afraid to stay in the same Land as I was injured this time. Veterans united Help me not only get in a new home but also help me manage my stress. Unfortunately, my insurance didn't cover everything. Starting a new loan at 59 years old is still scary but i was able to secure a loan with veterans United. Hope my health Holds up to pay in off. we are now feeling safe in our new Home.

veterans United went above and beyond helping my family secure our home, they will do anything they can to work with you and make sure you’re taken care of. They were very flexible and helped me every step of the way, being new to the process this made everything easier. The personnel were always willing to spend additional time talking about any questions I had even if it wasn’t specifically their field. If you’re a veteran and want to work with an organization that actually cares about veterans use VU!

Tommy Heller (a true gem) and his team really know their business. They simplified the home buying process. In addition, they went above and beyond to ensure all questions as well as concerns were answered or handled. It was an absolute pleasure working with Tommy and his team. I'll never forget their wealth of knowledge and patience with me during this process.
