Went above and beyond during the entire process. Answered all of our questions and make sure everything went as smoothly as possible.
Pro-Good Service, good app. I really liked my primary point of contact who was very knowledgeable.Con- Don't accept their first rate. Shop around and have them match it. They offered me 0.7 over what I negotiated down to. Also, some of the support staff know their specific part of the process, but are not knowledgeable on the whole process. Seek expert advise on things like insurance.
It was a challenge going thru the loan process with Veterans United. But, well worth the experience. The loan officers ( Kimberly and Amber) assigned to me made a complicated process seem like a walk in the park. LOL! There was tons of paperwork to docu-sign and a mountain of documents needed to prove who I was and inspections on my future home to assure the homes' safety and worth. In the end, I was approved for my dream home with an awesome 3.5% interest rate. Their assistance didn't end there. They made sure my dream home would not make me house-poor by keeping my debt-to-income ratio in line. I had to be debt-free (including credit cards) to make the numbers even out.
The team was awesome fast and efficient.

My wife and I was and still is impressed with the customer service and help in buying our first home using Veterans United services. The care and respect given to veterans is platinum. They seem to care for the whole veteran and not just a number. We were kept informed throughout the whole process and if I had a question it was not a bother them if I called several times a day or throughout the week. And I fill that we had the best team Veteran United has. Awesome is defined as extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear. While we had some rollercoasters with the original loan, we chose to refi with VU for an easier streamline process. And it was. Easier than I expected. We’re not sure how the numbers worked for the higher loan totals when some was to be waived because it’s a current account but sure the real loan amount will be reflected when the final is fine as our loan agent explained how it goes.
Matt, Jennifer and the entire Veteran United team were excellent and available to answer my questions at all times. They made the process smooth and stress free. Highly recommended!
