I have had the privilege to have Maggie work with me twice now and I can’t say enough good things about her…even after everything was closed, she has reached out to help me feel like I was somewhat important to her and the company…awesome person, awesome company!!! 20 stars out of 10!!!
Veterans United worked with me throughout the entire process of the loan. Their folks are on it! Everything was done online, when I had a question during the process I'd simply call or text my representative (Rob). They really made this experience a piece of Cake!
She help in all way
Felicia, Jennifer, Tyler & Chris were all a pleasure to work with. NOT ONE of them made me feel like I or my questions were not important or that I was interrupting them.
I would recommend Veterans United / Enterprise to anyone who asks.
Excellent job guys!!
Let me just start by saying how AMAZING Veterans United has been every step of the way. My loan specialist Travis Ward and his team went above and beyond and where more than I could ask for in my first home buying experience. As a first time buyer, you could imagine how many questions and concerns I had, and never did I feel Like i was alone in the process. Travis made me feel like I was an absolute priority and anytime I needed him he was readily available, he truly makes it a comfortable experience where you know you have a great team behind you. I can't express how smooth and painless the process was. I kept waiting for the day that things would become difficult but it never happened! It had been a lifelong dream to be a homeowner and thanks to Veterans Unites it became a reality. I highly recommend Veterans United and specifically Travis Ward and his team.

Working on a time crunch due to my current home being sold Nick and Jake really stepped up to the plate and got me closed in another home in record time. Dealing with someone under the immense pressure to lockdown a new home with horses and cows they stepped up! I can’t thank them enough for delivering and making sure we met that timeline
This is the 3rd time I've used Veterans United. They are fast, professional and go out of their way to assist you during your home buying process. During the process, my mother-in-law passed away. The San Antonio office sent flowers and a card to my wife, offering their condolences. Joseph, my loan officer also made himself available over weekends when I had questions. During the process, he was on vacation, Miguel was able to step in seamlessly to assist with an issue with the closing costs that the title company was trying to make me pay, and got the issue resolved. Hands down, the best place for veterans to get through the home buying process.
Cory Peebles and his team was great to work with and he helped us through the whole process. Made the home buying process so easy.
It was a challenge going thru the loan process with Veterans United. But, well worth the experience. The loan officers ( Kimberly and Amber) assigned to me made a complicated process seem like a walk in the park. LOL! There was tons of paperwork to docu-sign and a mountain of documents needed to prove who I was and inspections on my future home to assure the homes' safety and worth. In the end, I was approved for my dream home with an awesome 3.5% interest rate. Their assistance didn't end there. They made sure my dream home would not make me house-poor by keeping my debt-to-income ratio in line. I had to be debt-free (including credit cards) to make the numbers even out.
Team was great, and very patient.
It was great working with Mike and his team, all questions were answered in a timely manner. The whole process went pretty smooth. Thanks Mike and the whole team at Veterans United !

Corey and Nick are awesome! Any time I needed anything they were there to help me. I will recommend to everyone.
Mike and team were very helpful with the whole process. Knowledgeable with VA and veteran specific questions!
My wife and I was and still is impressed with the customer service and help in buying our first home using Veterans United services. The care and respect given to veterans is platinum. They seem to care for the whole veteran and not just a number. We were kept informed throughout the whole process and if I had a question it was not a bother them if I called several times a day or throughout the week. And I fill that we had the best team Veteran United has. Awesome is defined as extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear. It also should include Jimmy Stranz, Ashley Stratman and Corey Sublett. They made our first time home buying experience seamless. WHAT A TEAM!!!!! Thanks From The Williams Family
Veterans United made this process very easy.
In the last two weeks prior to closing, there were some significant issues. The first issue was them not communicating with us about the VA's 10 day approval window and the deadline necessary for all documentation in order to meet our 30 day closing contract. This could have caused us to violate our contract with the seller, lose the ernest money, and the house. Secondly, we were told to sign documents, that had errors and or needed to be updated, that they said weren't the final version and weren't sent to the VA for final approval. None of this was true and it seems like either negligent or fraudulent misrepresentation. Making the necessary changes later could have put as at risk of violating our 30 day closing for a second time. The down payment amount and loan amount weren't what we had discussed. When confronted with these issues, multiple different, what seem like excuses, were given to us. It's a lot to explain but there's lots of messages and emails to support this. I hope someone from Veterans United reaches out for a more in depth explanation so this type of stuff doesn't happen to another customer.
Response from Veterans United
Hi John,
Thank you for taking the time to share this. I’m really sorry to hear how stressful and concerning these last-minute issues were, especially with the potential risk to your closing timeline and contract. Situations involving unclear deadlines, changing numbers, and document concerns can feel overwhelming, and I understand why this raised serious concerns for you.
You should have been able to rely on clear, accurate communication throughout the process, particularly when it comes to timelines and documentation tied to VA requirements. I’m sorry for the confusion and frustration this caused.
I’d truly like the opportunity to take a closer look at your experience, including the messages and emails you mentioned, to better understand what happened and where things broke down. If you’re open to it, please reach out to me directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so we can review everything together.
Our team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, and we’ll follow up as soon as possible if you reach out outside those hours.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
