Shawn did great considering the circumstances. They did however send us a blanket that was weird with both owners names on it but didn’t ask who they were in relation to each other and they are father and son in law and we are a very conservative family so it looks like they are gay partners. We never got a replacement. Told we would get one with just last names or something else since we cannot use that. And never did. Was told a gift card and never got one for Amazon like I was told. Also only sent one shirt and 2 owners on the loan and I was told to send sizes of all members of the house and would have shirt and even sent the sizes and still only got one. This was for all the troubles we had with getting this loan and taking almost 90 days to close and having to live with family as we sold our home for this one through VU and that was due to the issues not on our end during this. We could have been given more time from our buyer had our dates not changed last min each time and each time never knowing until last minute when we would close. We would be waiting 2-3 weeks for another close date after waiting and becoming inpatient badly in fear of being homeless. Always told looking like no reason we won’t get to closing table but never told when after awhile. Also never told we were denied twice before approved for this one either until approved for the 3 and final loan. This was the most stressful house buying experience my father, husband and I have ever had! We are glad it’s our last! Made us never want to do this again! In past ours only took 30 days or less from start to close! Also the ladies that worked with Shawn were lazy and rude most the time. I would constantly have to email, call, leave voicemails, and texts and still be days before hearing back! Ide work with Shawn again if I had to buy another home but his team sucked! And it honestly was not a good experience at all! Out of it I went from 35k down to 68k down , got a gay blanket that’s useless and only one shirt with 2 homeowners on the loan and told send all sizes and we will get them. Also told make it up to us and still haven’t. We got the same package every one gets from VU for closing on the loan. A gift card to yalls store which doesn’t have anything good to buy and one tshirt for 2 buyers and family! The team who sent the gay blanket could have atleast got us a new one since they weren’t proper enough seeing 2 male names to pick up a phone and make a 2 min call and ask how would we like it to read out! And so we really got F’d on this mortgage with the team and downpayment misguiding ! Even tried to call and text after closing and nothing back! That’s how much we are truly appreciated as vets!

Marcus was great! He was always quick to respond and really went above and beyond to make sure I knew the next step in the home buying process! I’ve used a conventional loan to buy a house before and it doesn’t even begin to compare with how easy and smooth things went using a VA loan.
