Being a first time home buyer/builder, we were dreading the experience from what we had heard from other mortgage companies. Veteran's United treated us like close friends and were there to answer all questions quickly. I will recommend VU to all my veteran friends and family.
Everything was wonderful with United veterans the only thing was my rate changed after 30 days and to get it back down I had to pay 10k which I thought was BS but other the that everything and everyone I worked with was wonderful
Veteran's United is the way to go for a mortgage company. I really wanted to take advantage of their "no downpayment" option. However, rapidly rising interest rates prevented me from doing so. Who buys a house for $185,000 and cannot afford the payment normally? No one. But with interest rates in the 7% and above, everyone needs a down payment of some kind to make mo. payments lower. I was very stressed out in the beginning. But once the 7 day challenge of getting home inspected, all paperwork in and pest control, and then after that a Land Survey and Appraisal, I was so much better sane wise. I felt like people were coming at me from all angels but they only had my interests in mind as far as my being successful in buying a home. My success meant their success! Thank you all!!

Oh my gosh..this team was A-MA-ZING! We were on a time crunch to close and they worked so hard to keep us on schedule! The entire team from Karol to the underwriters were incredibly mindful of our short timeline and we able to move quickly in order for us to to close, on-time, within 3 weeks on our VA Loan!
