First time home buyers overall our experience we not as smooth as it should have been.... we had appraiser issues... we were told that after the initial issues were identified the appraiser had gone back and found new issues.... later came to find out that they had mixed up the houses which pushed us back 2 days on closing... how that even happened is beyond me

I should have started with Veterans United to begin with! I went with a local lender for my first mortgage, and they just didn't get how to handle VA loans although stating that they did. A lender not knowing the VA loan process caused a significant amount of stress and extra work with underwriters on my part to provide clarification on law and calculations related to how this type of loan works. Veterans United does this for a living. I was amazed at how organized their web interface was, and how streamlined they have their processes. The team assigned to me was professional and courteous, and made me feel like my refinance was the highest priority.
