This was our second time using Veterans United for a home purchase. The first time was phenomenal and is the reason we came back. Unfortunately this experience was very sub par. Had it not been for our extremely short escrow, we would have left and shopped for a different loan. Mistakes made early on were not discovered until days before closing, resulting in contract addendums and much stress on our part due to no fault of ours. We were very close to walking away from this loan. Had the sellers been less accommodating this might have even resulted in the voiding of our contract. Unacceptable and very dissatisfying, especially given our prior fantastic experience. This is our third home purchase and we’ll definitely buy more in the future. I cannot imagine we’ll come back to Veterans United nor will we be recommending to our other homebuyer friends.
