We’ve used VU several times and it’s always been a great hassle free process. This is the first time we’ve worked with Lisa and she just rose the bar even higher. She answered all our questions promptly. We received answers to questions even after normal business hours!

We were told several times….”everything looks good” to be told two days later they needed something else. Originally we were supposed to close the end of the month in June, but it was pushed back to July. We were asked about our HOA- there is not one on June 14….. then on the 29 they started looking for verification.
There were also additional costs that we were not informed at the beginning of the process, such as an appraisal and a bug check. Since there are apparently routine we should have been informed.The notary that came for the signing was the only competent person that we worked with- and she was an outsider person they hired for the signing.

I can understand how frustrating it would be to hear everything was on track, only to be asked for additional information later and have your closing delayed. This was our first time using Veteran's United and the process was extremely long, difficult and we almost ended up homeless. Because of so many factors, both from VU and other sources, closing was literally the last day of the month when our rental lease ended. The lack of communication between VU staff resulted on not everyone being on the same page most of the time and misinformation being given. Overall, was not satisfied and would not use this company again.
