I have used Veterans United Home Loans for the better part of 6 years with several purchases and a refinance most recently. I have had the pleasure of working with the same team for 80% of that time. Recently I had the pleasure of working with a new or partially new loan team and honestly, I couldn't be more appreciative of the prompt, professional (yet relaxed and down-to-earth), knowledgable, and patient team.By far an extremely great team on all fronts. 10/10 Recommend.

They constantly kept us informed of our approval status, ensured that we had the right documents on hand, and truly went out of their way to be a partner in our search/closing and not just another lending vendor. My initial interaction with veterans united came from my attempt to secure a VA loan. Bureaucratic red tape prevented me from going forward. Aaron suggested I secure conventional financing, and walked me through that process. His calm approach alleviated the angst I felt as my closing deadline approached.

I am, was a first time homebuyer, and the entire process was a little overwhelming for me. OK, a lot. But anytime I called, I was always able to get through and the few times I didn’t, the return call was a matter of minutes. Fantastic service. But also truthful and straightforward which is what I appreciate in anyone I do business with. I would absolutely recommend again.

Everyone that helped me in the loan process should get a raise simply because they had to put up with a cranky ass cantankerous old man like me who got mad as hell all the time because it seemed like no matter how much information I sent it was never enough and I had to go back four and five times and get more information to keep everybody happy. But in the long run they tolerated me so they all deserve more money simply because they had to put up with me
We will never being using Veteran's United to purchase a home again. We had an awful experience with communication, customer service and overall process of purchasing the home. As a company that directs its business only to military members and their families, this has been the most discouraging and frustrating process working with the loan team. We had issues with repeated requests for unnecessary documentation, frequent badgering phone calls from loan officers but when we tried to call, no one would answer or return voicemail messages, and blatant misinformation. We were over charged for items that our closing contract explicitly stated was not our responsibility to pay, and we had to get the numbers amended down multiple times. When asked for clarity on why closing cost were raised significantly, were told it was a mistake and they would get changed but never did. We ended up being forced to sign the documents without the final corrections so we weren't homeless while trying to get everything corrected and Veteran's United ended up costing us almost $2,000 in unplanned and unnecessary charges. It felt like they were trying everything in their power to make sure we didn't get a house.

We still can't believe we own a beautiful home all thanks to hard work and support from Veterans United. Veterans United is staffed by people who have a family oriented approach, and that is always a breath of fresh air. The day of the closing we even got a surprise gift from our finance officers team, we were amazed how thoughtful everyone was.
Overall Jason and the entire team at Veterans United and Rob Hesington as my realtor did great. I will continue to give Veterans United the opportunity for future home purchases or refinancing options. Thank you so much
